WILDLIFE – TREES & PLANTS
Heather and grasses dominate the upland areas of the estate, while ‘sponge like’ sphagnum mosses create valuable boggy habitats. Lichens prosper in the fresh Perthshire air and countless wild flowers have the chance to thrive here, as they do all across the highlands.
The estate has a small amount of varied forestry as well as a pocket of ancient woodland.
Even smaller, but equally charming inhabitants, are the various dragonflies, damselflies, butterflies, moths and caterpillars.
