WILDLIFE – MAMMALS
Three types of deer; red, roe and fallow roam the land, with the latter only seen on the lowest ground, often adjacent to the river. Mountain hare, whilst far scarcer than they were thirty years ago, can still be seen on the higher ground.
One of the most captivating sights is to be found amongst the woodland where its often possible to see red squirrels with their appealing ear tufts and long fluffy tails.
